Festival Distribution & Exhibition

Since 2024, Sequence Film Lab has brought emerging filmmakers and film students to the Cannes Film Festival. We believe that being present at the world's leading festivals is an essential part of a filmmaker's education: it reveals what is happening across international cinema, how the industry actually operates, and how films move through markets, institutions, and audiences. For young filmmakers in particular, this direct exposure offers a way to look beyond the classroom, avoid working in isolation, and place their own practice within a wider global context.

Beyond Cannes, Sequence Film Lab continues to build dialogue and cooperation with festivals around the world. In 2025, we led groups to the Venice Film Festival and the Hainan Island International Film Festival, expanding opportunities for exchange, observation, and future collaboration.
