CILECT (Centre International de Liaison des Écoles de Cinéma et de Télévision) was founded in Cannes, France, in 1954. As the world's leading association of film, television, and media schools, it promotes international collaboration through education, artistic practice, and research. By 2025, CILECT had grown to include more than 180 member institutions across over 60 countries and six continents.
CILECT operates through five regional associations, including CAPA (the CILECT Asia-Pacific Association), which fosters academic exchange, collaborative projects, and resource sharing among member schools throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
